A very fun and special moment. I got to perform and speak at a TEDx event! That's an item off my bucket list right there. Check it out here:
My composition is "epic" according to the Austin Chronicle today! Read the full article: https://www.austinchronicle.com/music/2018-05-25/big-wys-brass-band-portal-to-funkville/
https://www.facebook.com/austinsymphonyorchestra/videos/10155089585215212/ One of the biggest moments in my life standing on stage and shaking hands with Peter Bay before the performance of Blissful Nightmares. Thanks to all including my parents, my aunt Gen, Akira Sato, David Herring, Anthony Corroa, and many others for making this possible!
Enjoy this studio-quality video of Big Wy's Brass Band performing my original composition Main Strut! More info here. (https://youtu.be/2CW2T0w5SPk)
Check out this fun collaboration with one of my mentors, David B. Herring! This is a movement to the larger work, Suite #1 for Wind Ensemble premiered by the Shepton HS Wind Ensemble in 2014. Credit goes to Mr. Herring for advising me on this movement (especially the percussion parts!)
